Strathcona Capital offers comprehensive industry knowledge and transaction experience within the U.S. commercial real estate lending market. With a full cycle investment approach, Strathcona Capital is dedicated to meeting the needs of institutional investors and experienced borrowers.
Strathcona Capital was founded in 2021, during a time of unprecedented change worldwide. Built on a foundation of integrity and transparency, founding partners Kevin Ryan and Ryan Bradford bring over 28 years of combined experience in the industry. With extensive networks across North America, Strathcona Capital works collaboratively with investors and borrowers to build long term relationships.
Strathcona Capital is based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and proudly serves clients across Canada and the United States.

Kevin Ryan, CFA
Managing Partner
Kevin Ryan is a founding partner of Strathcona Capital. Kevin has over 16 years experience in the commercial real estate financing industry, both in Canada and the United States.
Throughout his career at the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, Jutland Finance and QuadReal Finance, Kevin was directly involved in the originating, closing and monitoring of over $10 billion worth of real estate loans in all sectors. Kevin's experience includes stabilized, transitional, construction and mezzanine transactions.

Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Kevin earned an Honours Bachelor's degree (BA) in Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. He also has a Master of Arts degree (MA) in Economics from the University of Victoria, and is a CFA® charterholder.

Kevin is an avid golfer and sports fanatic. He lives in Victoria, British Columbia with his wife and two children.
Ryan Bradford, CFA
Managing Partner
Ryan Bradford is a founding partner of Strathcona Capital. Ryan brings over 12 years of experience in various facets of commercial real estate, finance, and investments.
During Ryan’s tenure at the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, Jutland Finance and QuadReal Finance, he was directly involved in the originating, closing and monitoring of over $4 billion worth of real estate loans in the United States and $5 billion of real estate equity investments in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.
Born and raised in Canada's capital, Ottawa, Ontario, Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) from Mount Allison University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Victoria, and is a CFA® charterholder.

Ryan coaches youth hockey and is dedicated to giving back to the community. He currently lives in Victoria, British Columbia with his wife and two children.
Reid Turner
Managing Partner
Reid Turner is a managing partner at Strathcona Capital. Reid has 10 years of experience in the commercial real estate finance industry.
​
During Reid’s time at QuadReal Finance, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation and Jutland Finance, he originated and closed over $5 billion worth of real estate debt across the United States.
​
Reid’s experience covers various asset classes and includes construction, stabilized as well as bridge financing. Reid also has significant experience syndicating loans and investing throughout the capital stack.
Reid is from Vancouver, British Columbia and holds a Bachelors degree (BA) from the Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.
